We are a commercial joinery workshop currently looking for an apprentice cabinet maker / furniture maker to join our growing business in Sevenoaks, Kent. Our clients are based around the south east and in London.
As an apprentice cabinet/furniture maker you will be learning carpentry skills to eventually be able to make bespoke cabinetry & free standing furniture from scratch. This will include learning about the different types of materials we use, you will be taught how to use specialist machinery and hand tools and different techniques to produce quality bespoke pieces of furniture and cabinetry. You will also learn health and safety, be taught to read and interpret detailed design drawings and use specialist design packages.
This role is based in the workshop but there may be occasional travel to accompany the team to install furniture/cabinetry on-site.

Responsibilities
- Prepare material for manufacturing
- Utilise hand and power tools to construct and assemble furniture and joinery projects.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Follow safety protocols while handling materials and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines while ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.
- Communicate progress and challenges to supervisors as needed.
The successful candidate will be enrolled in a Level 2 furniture making apprenticeship in the format of distance learning, based in the workshop, if they are not already studying.
