Business Support Apprentice Role Profile
We are excited to offer an apprenticeship opportunity to support the Business Support Team within the Children, Young People and Families Service. This role provides a fantastic chance to develop skills, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to meaningful work in a supportive and dynamic environment.
In this role you will be engaging with a variety of people on a daily basis; from members of the public to Social Workers, as well as other professionals such as the Police. Alongside this, apprentices will be responsible for carrying out generic administrative duties alongside the full-time clerical staff. These duties include but are not limited to: covering main reception, inputting data, responding to emails, arranging and rearranging meetings, diary management, note taking, filing and scanning and printing documents amongst other duties.
The Business Support apprenticeship will be supported by a local training provider, and you will be given allocated time during the working week for off-the-job training.
Funding & Assessments:
Please be aware that if you are successful in your application you will be required to sit a functional skills assessment with the apprenticeship training provider. Your current and previous qualifications will also be checked to ensure that you are eligible for course funding.
To undertake this role, it is essential that you have the following:
- GCSE’s A*- C (9-4) or equivalent in English and Maths
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications to include Word, Outlook and Excel
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality
- Experience of working towards deadlines
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Good organisational, time and task management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
