CATERING APPRENTICESHIP
We are looking to train future chef's by starting them at the bottom in a small commercial kitchen assisting our duty chefs ensuring they have everything they need to prepare, cook and serve top quality food in our restaurant in a timely manner. This can be pressurised when the kitchen is busy.
Job tasks:
· Washing Up for the Chef (hand washing up then loading into the washer/steriliser)· Unpacking washer/steriliser, checking highest standard of cleanliness and putting items back in their correct places available for chef to grab and use when needed without getting in the way of other busy kitchen staff;
· Emptying the bins when full replacing bags as required and placing full bags into rubbish bin outside;
· Keeping floor clean and safe when in use by busy kitchen staff without getting in their way;
Identifying and fetching urgently needed supplies for chef from freezer room, fridges or cupboards;
· Cleaning down daily after kitchen closes, bins, wiping down, de-greasing and mopping the floor and ensuring the kitchen is spotless and ready for next service;
· Assisting with prepping ingredients for chef; preparing starters and deserts and leaning some of the simpler dishes;
This is an entry level position leading to a catering apprenticeship at Chichester Catering School;
Full or Part-Time covering week-days and some weekends / Bank holidays incl. Christmas and New Yew. Must live locally to Ford, near Arundel, West Sussex.
Must attend catering college 1 day per week during term time.

Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per hour
