Job Summary
Job Title: Planning Compliance Assistant Apprentice
Salary Range and Hours: Apprentice £22,070, 37 hours per week
Contract Type: Full Time / Fixed Term – 2 years
Location: Horizon Business Centre, Broadland Business Park, Peachman Way, Norwich, NR7 0WF
We have a great opportunity for an individual to join our Planning Compliance Team. You will be part of a busy dynamic team covering a diverse area including urban areas, rural areas and vibrant market towns, serving approximately 260,000 residents and 10,000 businesses across 161 parishes. Our work therefore encompasses both urban and rural planning, residential, retail, commercial and agricultural development.
You will assist in the day-to-day operations of the team including assisting in the investigation of alleged breaches of planning control, assisting with tasks related to the collection of evidence and progression of enforcement action. You will gain experience in a range of tasks, taking on your own cases supported by the team, liaising with other agencies and teams to resolve the breaches or take necessary action.
You will be expected to study for your Level 3 or 4 qualification (Regulatory and Compliance Level 4 qualification or Public Sector Compliance Investigation Level 3 qualification) alongside your role; for which you will be given study time during your working hours.
The successful applicant will be a customer focused team player, with an ability and confidence to communicate effectively with a range of people and an attention to detail. You will be able to effectively manage your time to meet deadlines. You will also need to meet the minimum entry requirements for apprenticeships in England.

Minimum entry requirements for apprenticeships in England include:
English and maths at Level 2 (GCSE 4 and above). If you have not previously achieved these grades or if you are unable to provide evidence of the qualifications, then you may need to complete these functional skills during your apprenticeship.
As this is a Regulatory and Compliance Level 4 qualification or Public Sector Compliance Investigation Level 3 qualification, you should not already possess substantial skills or qualifications of the same level or higher, in this subject.
You must be a citizen of the UK or European Economic Area (EEA), or have lived in the UK or EEA for the past 3 consecutive years and have a Right to work in the UK.
