Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity within Wingerworth Wonder Years Nursery. We are looking to recruit a Level 2 qualified Early years Practitioners to join our dedicated staff team. We will support the successful individuals as they work towards completing their Level 3 on the path to gaining their full Early Years qualification.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. You will play a crucial role in nurturing and developing the young minds in our care, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that promotes learning through play.
As an apprentice you will be expected to show strong commitment to your role, confidence, and a willingness to learn.
In return you will receive all the training and support necessary to become a fully qualified level 3 Childcare practitioner. If you are looking for a career in Childcare this is a fantastic opportunity in an established and well-respected setting in Wingerworth.
Duties
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote the development of children aged 0-5 years.
- Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's learning journeys.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform future planning.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to early years education.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of childcare provided within the setting.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Candidate's must be aged 16+

Requirements
- Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of child development theories and practices is advantageous.
- Previous employer reference.
