Brief overview of role:
Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship.
Moving around departments to learn about how the company operates and understanding the processes involved in the service we provide. Hands on learning of the engineering processes, eventually settling into one area with the opportunity to progress upon completion of apprenticeship.
Day-to-day duties:
Under the supervision of a skilled electronics personnel, the apprentice will carry out:
- Electrical and electronics testing and diagnosing root cause failure within electrical and electronic assemblies
- Assist with the functional testing of printed circuit assemblies (PCAs) and unit assemblies
- Diagnosing faults on PCAs and units down to component level
- Utilising schematics
- P.A.T. testing of manufactured products and test equipment

Qualifications Required:
- Minimum GCSE grade 4 or above in English, Maths and a Science
