Level 3 Electrical Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship
What does the apprenticeship involve?
The successful candidate will be working alongside experienced Electrical Engineering Technicians installing, testing and commissioning electrical wiring and assemblies on all types of Rigid Bodies and Trailers. The apprenticeship will involve:
· Gaining a full understanding of auto electrics
· Learn how to fault find problems and resolve
· Become adaptable with a flexible attitude
· Become capable of working alone or as part of a team
· Gain an ability to interpret drawings and schematics
· Become fully competent in using hand and air tools
· Learn how to become capable of working to demanding deadlines
· Gain the highest standards of quality and workmanship
· You will require a good mechanical understanding
· Gain a full awareness of Health and Safety responsibilities
Once the probation period is over you will be placed on an NVQ training course to become a fully qualified Electrical Engineering Technician. We are invested in continuous career development throughout your employment and a keen interest in engineering is crucial for this role.On successful completion of the apprenticeship, the candidate will achieve a nationally recognised engineering apprenticeship qualification.
Qualifications on completion of the apprenticeship
As well as gaining a broad range of professional knowledge and experience, you will gain academic and vocational qualifications such as the Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship Standard. You will also achieve Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installation and Commissioning-Equipment Installation (Competence), as well as a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Knowledge).

To succeed, you will need
· A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including English, Maths, a Scientific subject and two other subjects.
· Strong interpersonal skills, self-starting and motivated attitude with a curiosity to learn.
· A curiosity and ability to be adaptable to changing business requirements.
· Ability to absorb information, analyse problems, make fact-based decisions, and propose innovative solutions.
· Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
· Keen eye for detail with excellent analytical, communication and presentational skills.

Working Week
Monday – Friday 07:30 – 16:30 (if under the age of 18)
Monday - Friday 07:30 – 17:00 (if over the age of 18)
