Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and looking to gain hands-on experience in a nurturing environment. The Apprentice will work closely with experienced educators, providing support in various childcare settings, including nurseries. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop essential skills in leadership, communication, and child management while contributing positively to the development of young children.

Duties

Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities for children.
Support the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative atmosphere.
Manage small groups of children during activities, promoting teamwork and social skills.
Observe and document children's progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff members.
Drive to various locations as required for training or outreach programmes.
Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance professional development.

Qualifications

A background or interest in early childhood education is preferred.
Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is advantageous.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
A valid driver's licence is desirable for travel between sites.
