Overview:
This is a great opportunity for an aspiring landscaper to get started in their career in landscaping though an Apprenticeship that will see you working with a company that specialises in soft and hard landscaping across Norfolk and Suffolk.
Whilst working and gaining valuable experience in all aspects of this diverse and exciting industry, you will work towards a Level 2 Apprenticeship as a Landscape Operative, so all your practical skills you acquire will be backed up by a solid theory based learning programme.

The ideal candidate will be hard working and prepared to carry pout heavy manual work every day- so a good degree of physical fitness and strength will be needed as well as a willingness to work outdoors in all weather. You will need to be a good team player with good communication skills and the willingness to learn.
Job Role:
- Operate and maintain various hand tools and power tools for landscaping tasks
- Minor demolition works
- Measuring sites
- Constructing stone or brick walls
- Constructing retaining structures
- Constructing and installing timber edging
- preparing ground for walkways and driveways
- Laying paving and driveways
- Erecting fences
- Ground preparation for planting, seeding & turfing
- Taking delivery of materials and moving materials to site
- Planting trees , shrubs and ground cover
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards
- Identify potential issues with plants or landscapes and recommend appropriate solutions
Requirements
- Ability to undertake hard physical work
- Excellent team work and communication skills
- Commitment to the team and to the study element of the Apprenticeship
- Full driving license and own transport to enable you to get to sites across Norfolk & Suffolk
- Minimum of GCSE Maths & English at Grade 3/D or equivalent
