Job Overview
As a Nursery Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience working with children while studying towards a nationally recognized childcare qualification (such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years Education). You will assist in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children, helping with daily activities, and learning essential childcare skills from experienced practitioners.
Duties
- Support the nursery team in delivering high-quality early years education and care.
- Assist in planning and engaging children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Support children with personal care needs, including feeding and toileting.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming nursery environment.
- Work towards completing your apprenticeship qualification with guidance from mentors and trainers
Skills
- A strong foundation in childcare principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
- Basic understanding of early childhood education frameworks.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks within a busy nursery setting.
- Experience working with children is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for working with young learners is key.
- A willingness to learn leadership skills as part of your professional development.
- A valid driving licence may be beneficial for transport-related duties.

Pay: £22,880.00-£39,660.88 per year
