Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner Apprentice to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will have a desire to work in early childhood education and have a genuine love for working with children. We are looking for someone bubbly, who doesn’t mind singing and dancing around at any given moment and who doesn’t mind getting a little bit messy! As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of young children. Your ability to communicate effectively and carry out daily activities will be key to ensuring the wellbeing and growth of each child in our care. All training will be provided through our company, supporting you through your level 2 and level 3 qualifications in Childcare. This job role is for 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality childcare in accordance with the nursery's policies and procedures.
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities that support early childhood development.
- Create a safe, inclusive, fun and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships.
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development accurately.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities.
- Promote positive behaviour through effective leadership and guidance.
- Work well as a team to ensure the smooth daily running of the nursery.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting would be great, but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to carry out multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
