A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Equine Groom apprentice, to join our team of staff on the riding school and complete daily equine husbandry tasks.

The role includes general stable duties such as:

Feeding and watering
Bring in/turn out
Grooming and tacking up
Mucking out
Assisting with lessons
Possible opportunities to teach

Desired skills and Qualities

Previous experience with horses is essential and must be given in detail on application
Good communication skills
Time management skills
Hard working
Reliable
Team player

Desired qualifications

GCSEs or equivalents in English and maths are desired but not essential
BHS Stages or equivalent are desired so please list ALL qualifications on application
Applicants must not already hold a Level 3 Equine qualification

Future prospects

To become a permanent member of the senior team on completion of the apprenticeship for the right candidates.

Training

Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
The applicant will be working towards a level 3 Senior Equine Groom Apprenticeship
The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.

Things to consider

Strong applicants with experience but without BHS Stages or equivalent may be considered.
