Role Description
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Apprentice Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our office. This role requires proficiency in clerical tasks, data entry, and effective communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
This is an office based role for an Apprentice Administrator located at our head office in Market Drayton, Shropshire. The Apprentice Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day administrative tasks supporting the training programs and assisting the wider team in all aspects of our business. We are looking for a great fit for our small team and a positive outlook is essential. We are looking for someone to attend the office 5 days per week and be willing to undergo an appropriate apprenticeship as part of our mission is continued education. However, we are open to discussion on working hours and apprenticeship route to enable the successful applicant to help mould their future career around their strengths and aspirations. The role is offered at current national apprenticeship wage for the first 12 months of study with performance based review thereafter.
Responsibilities
- Perform general clerical duties including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations using various office applications.
- Maintain an organised filing system, both physical and digital, to ensure easy access to information.
- Coordinate meetings, including scheduling appointments and preparing necessary materials.
- Support team members with administrative tasks as required to enhance productivity.
Experience
- Proven experience in an administrative role is preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
- Strong clerical skills with a focus on accuracy in data entry and record management.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, scanners, and telecommunication systems is beneficial.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail is essential for success in this role.
