Beers Timber & Building Supplies Ltd, is a long established independent Merchant, offering general timber and building supplies to both the trade and the general public alike, throughout Merseyside, Warrington, Wirral, Manchester and the North-West area as a whole.
We have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice Tool Room/ Wood Machinist, based within our Warrington depot.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, well organised, self motivated, reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities & Duties
Whilst the role does involve cutting and shaping wood on specialist equipment in a machine shop, it also includes setting up and operating the machines safely - so it helps if you are practically minded and must enjoy working with wood.
You’ll work in a sawmill or workshop where conditions are noisy and dusty. You’ll use protective equipment.
Requirements
There are no set entry requirements, although GCSE's or equivalent in Mathematics and English will be helpful for calculations and theory.
Package and Benefits
Hours of work: 40 hours per week, between the hours of 7.30 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.
Salary: Dependent on age
