About us
Established in 1947, Lister Wilder is proud to remain a wholly owned family business committed to providing an unparalleled end-to-end service for all machinery and equipment needs in Agriculture, Groundcare, Construction and Arboriculture.
A friendly, family business that’s home to some of the UK’s finest machinery franchises. We are the UK’s largest Kubota Dealership and all supported by the most knowledgeable Sales, Parts and Service teams in the country.
We like to think we live up to our reputation as an award-winning, professional machinery and service provider. We believe this boils down to our dedicated team of almost 200 people who always go the extra mile to deliver, our experience that stretches over 70 years and our extensive product portfolio.
We are excited to be recruiting for our 2025 Apprenticeship scheme so, if you have a passion for machinery and would like to achieve an industry recognised qualification in Land Based Engineering, then this may be for you.
We will look to start Apprentices between May and August 2025 ahead of the academic year beginning, and to allow some settling in time ahead of the apprenticeship starting.
What will I be doing?
You’ll work with our experienced service team to gain hands on experience in the service, repair and diagnostics of groundcare machinery. This includes the full Kubota range of machinery such as compact tractors, utility vehicles and ride on mowers and those from other manufacturers such as Timberwolf chippers.
This will mostly be workshop based initially but as your experience grows, you will have the opportunity to start visiting customer sites with a colleague. You will also spend time with our parts and warranty teams to provide understanding of the after-sales process and how we interact with our customers.

If you have an interest in machinery and mechanical engineering, an apprenticeship with us is an opportunity to be part of the future of groundcare engineering and “earn while you learn”. By successfully completing a Kubota apprenticeship, you will achieve an industry approved qualification at the same time as gaining fantastic hands-on practical skills through a manufacturer backed scheme and earning a wage. Kubota Group is a global manufacturing company, specialising in agriculture, groundcare, water, and living environment products.
During your apprenticeship you will be working with the latest technology, developing knowledge with machinery and IT systems.
