The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for two individuals to join our company and start on the path to a successful career as an Industrial Door Engineer.
We are looking for two Engineering Apprentices, based in the Bolton or surrounding area, to join us from July 2025.
Our apprenticeship programme is typically a 2-year programme (based on progression) during which we will receive a mix of practical and classroom-based learning.
Following your initial induction training, as an Apprentice, you will undertake a series of work placements within our production facilities in Westhoughton, Bolton and on-site, working alongside experienced engineers, to gain all round experience within the door industry. You will spend time with our production teams manufacturing high-speed doors and dock levellers, and with our engineers, installing, servicing, repairing, maintaining a range of industrial doors, loading bay equipment, gates, and barriers on customer sites throughout the northwest.
You will follow our own in-house training programme, as well as studying towards achieving a Level 2 Engineering Operative apprenticeship and completing a Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Operations. Most of your time will be spent gaining practical experience, although you will be required to attend classroom-based workshops on a day release basis with the apprenticeship training provider.
At the end of the apprenticeship programme, subject to progression and the needs of the business, there will be the opportunity for continuing employment as an Assistant Engineer within one of our specialist divisions, to gain further experience before progressing on to become a Lead Engineer in your own van.
