About the Role:
We are looking for a hardworking and dedicated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Bus Cleaner. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and develop within the transport industry. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in cleaning and maintaining buses, with the possibility of obtaining your PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) License after successful completion of a 3 month probationary period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain the interior and exterior of buses, ensuring they meet company cleanliness and safety standards.
- General yard duties suck as upkeep.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; clean seats, windows, and other surfaces to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
- Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Check buses for personal items left behind by passengers and report any damages or maintenance issues.
- Work closely with senior cleaners and other staff to ensure buses are ready for service at the start of each shift.
- Maintain good communication with the team and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Full clean car license.
- Interest in the transport industry and a willingness to learn.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Physically fit and able to perform cleaning duties effectively.
- Good time management skills and reliability.
- Enthusiasm to pursue further qualifications, including the possibility of obtaining a PCV license.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle cleaning or care.
- A passion for providing excellent service and maintaining high standards.
