Job Title: Workshop Engineer Apprentice
Hours of Work: 8am - 5pm (40 hours per week)

About the Role
The Workshop Engineer Apprentice will be working alongside our workshop team in order to learn the role of an MHE engineer, to include daily servicing maintenance, diagnostic and repairs. This will include training and repairs undertaken on all types of MHE machines including electric, gas and diesel powered engines and machines.
This is a 3 year programme where elements of the Apprenticeship programme will be delivered at a dedicated MHE Engineering Training Centre in Swindon with accommodation and transport provided. This is done in 5x 1 week training blocks per year. At the end of the apprenticeship and having passed the End Point Assessment, you will be a qualified Level 3 Lift Truck and Powered Access Engineer.
Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis you will:
- Learn how to perform repairs and maintenance using correct tools and equipment, following approved techniques
- Learn how to use standard computer applications, and manufacturers service portals
- Learn how to operate and test vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Become familiar with manufacturers products
- Become familiar with diagnostics and repairs on forklift trucks and other machinery in a workshop environment
- Complete all reports and administration required in a timely manner and to a high quality
- Follow all safety rules and regulations
- Complete all training programmes to further develop skills and knowledge in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean work environment, ensures correct use of tools and vehicles at all times
