We are looking for an apprentice to get involved in the general administration of the business, whilst getting immersed in marketing, which will extensively include organising and being involved in our social value on construction projects, throughout the South West. In tandem with this, we would like you to also manage our website and develop our case study library, which highlights our previous projects and experiences. This will allow you to become an integral part of the Devon Contractors team and there will be immense opportunity for development going forward.
Apprentice Administrator/Marketing Assistant which will include the following duties:
Administrator Duties:
- Communication: Answer phones, emails, and other correspondence
- Scheduling: Arrange meetings, appointments, and events
- Record keeping: Maintain and organise documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Data entry: Enter data into databases and records
- Office supplies: Order and monitor office supplies
- Office procedures: Review and coordinate procedures to ensure company policies are followed
- Client services: Greet clients, answer queries, and resolve issues
- Event planning: Organise itineraries, travel, and corporate events
Marketing Assistant Duties:
- Marketing Strategy Development: Assisting in formulating and implementing marketing plans that align with overall business objectives, including identifying key clients, setting goals, and allocating resources.
- Campaign Management: Planning, executing, and optimising marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, social media, email, etc.).
- Content Creation: Developing engaging and informative content (blog posts, articles, social media updates, etc.) that resonates with the target audience.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conducting research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Tracking and analysing campaign performance, identifying areas for improvement, and reporting on key metrics.
- Communication and Collaboration: Working effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders (consultants and clients).
- Digital Marketing Expertise: Understanding and utilising various digital marketing techniques, social media marketing, and email marketing. Brand Management: Maintaining and enhancing brand awareness and reputation.
Over and above the criteria previously set out, we would like you to be involved in our social value offering on all our construction projects, throughout the South West.
In tandem with this, we would like you to also manage our website and develop our case study library, which highlights our previous projects and experiences.

Monday to Friday – 8.30 to 5pm (with 1 hour for lunch)
Hours: 37.50 per week
