We are a well-established, family-owned, market leading manufacturing company based in Torfaen. We are currently looking to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic Apprentice Welder/Fabricator to join our small, friendly team. You will get paid to study alongside on the job learning.
You must enjoy practical hands on work and a physical role. Have an analytical mind and strong attention to detail. This is an excellent opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to become a fully qualified welder. You will work alongside experienced employees and have the support of a company who will help you to become the best in your field.

Responsibilities
You will be training to :-
- Read drawings and recognise welding symbols.
- Weld components from sheet metal and other materials as per engineering drawings and specifications
- Weld plant machinery using a variety of tools.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete fabrication tasks.
- Assemble parts and structures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance product quality.
Skills Requirements
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Have a keen interest in fabrication
- Have a professional and courteous manner at all times
- Good communication skills
- Able to continue to learn and take on new tasks as and when presented
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- 4 GCSEs A-C grade would be desirable
- NVQ level 1 or 2 candidates will be considered
