Bookkeeping Apprentice
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Bookkeeping Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals aged 16+ who are eager to begin a career in accounting and finance. You will gain valuable hands-on experience while developing essential bookkeeping and office skills in a supportive and professional environment. You'll work closely with experienced accountants who will guide you through your apprenticeship journey.
Responsibilities
- Assist in daily finance and bookkeeping operations as directed by supervisors.
- Perform accurate data entry of financial transactions, invoices, and receipts.
- Support preparing financial documents such as purchase orders, bank reconciliations, and payment runs.
- Help manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Communicate professionally with clients and colleagues via email and phone.
- Learn and use accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).
- Maintain organised records and ensure all financial data is filed securely and correctly.
Requirements
- Strong interest in finance, accounting, or business.
- Good maths and English skills (GCSE or equivalent preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow within a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Multilingual skills (especially English and Spanish) are a bonus.
- Previous experience in admin or customer service is helpful but not essential.
- Positive attitude, team spirit, and strong work ethic.
