Florist Apprenticeship Opportunity – Join Our Store & Studio in Glossop!
Are you creative, hands-on, and passionate about flowers? We’re looking for a Florist Apprentice to join our friendly and hardworking team in our beautiful store and studio in Glossop.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to either begin or accelerate their journey into floristry. You’ll work alongside our experience, award-winning master florist and her team, learning the art and craft of floral design—from hand-tied bouquets to larger-scale event pieces. No two days are the same!

- Assisting with the preparation and conditioning of flowers
- Helping create floral arrangements and displays
- Supporting with customer service in-store and over the phone
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
- Delivering flowers locally when required
- Attending college in Sheffield on a one day a week basis in addition to working with us
Please Note: This role is physically demanding—you’ll be on your feet most of the day, lifting flower buckets, moving stock, and working with your hands in a sometimes chilly shop environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- A genuine interest in floristry and a creative eye
- Positive, can-do attitude, strong work ethics and willingness to learn
- Good level of physical fitness
- Friendly and approachable manner
- Reliability and good timekeeping
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A fast learner with the ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- The right candidate must have a full, clean driving license
No experience is necessary (but welcome)—just enthusiasm and a love for flowers! This is a training position with on-the-job learning and support.
