We are looking to add to our team of Apprentice/Trainee Bakers.
We will put you through a three year hands on program during which time you will also obtain your SQA qualification. You will get the very best training in European / sourdough traditional baking. All our methods and recipes come from our German founder.
The role is night shift so you must be able to get get to our site for 10-10:30pm.
You will ideally have some bakery qualification or experience of working in a scratch bakery or even a commercial kitchen, but this is not necessary, just a willingness to work and learn.
It is a very busy environment and you will be trained to the very highest skill level across the board in all areas of traditional baking skills; sourdoughs and artisan breads, viennoiserie, cake making and finishing.
We are a commercial bakery setting and you will be working in a very busy environment with large quantities of dough. We will start you slow and train you across all areas of the bakery, but you must have a a good attention to detail, be able to maintain a high level of consistency and ultimately be comfortable in a busy environment.
We are a small family business and have a great team who really care about producing the best quality bread and cakes for our customers along with fantastic customer service. We are growing and really excited about the next phase of our journey.
Full time position is 39 hours nightshift over 5 days with occasional overtime available. Good holidays (5 weeks with 4 days at Xmas and New year) and competitive pay rates.
