Job Title: Apprentice Cycle Technician & Rider Support
(Full training and Cytech qualification provided)
Ideally suited to a recent school or college leaver, this is a fantastic opportunity to start a hands-on career in the cycle industry — learning from experienced mechanics and gaining professional qualifications along the way.
MTB Monster is one of the UK’s leading mountain bike specialists. Based in Lancashire, we sell and repair both electric and non-electric bikes from top brands including Trek, Cube, Santa Cruz, Haibike, Mondraker, Orbea, Marin, NS Bikes, Cannondale, Whyte & Transition.
We’re looking for a motivated and reliable apprentice to join our team — someone with a good base knowledge of bikes, a willingness to learn, and strong communication skills. This is a long-term role with real progression. Over time, you’ll build your skills and grow into a full Cycle Technician & Rider Support position.

You’ll Need To:
- Be confident speaking with customers in a polite, professional way
- Be able to write clear, well-structured emails
- Have a GCSE grade 5 or above in both English and Maths
- Have a genuine interest in mountain bikes and a basic understanding of how they work
- Be a good team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Be comfortable using computers (e.g. Google Sheets, Word, and email)
What You'll Be Doing (Initially):
- Assisting experienced mechanics in the workshop
- Learning how to service and repair mountain bikes and eMTBs
- Supporting customer service and rider support cases (with guidance)
- Helping process returns and communicate with suppliers
- Learning how to diagnose faults and perform quality control checks
- Gradually taking on more responsibility as your skills develop
