The Unicorn School is a happy and flourishing school for pupils aged 7 to 17 years. The school currently has a team of over 80 members of staff for 120 children. The well-being of our pupils is at the heart of our ethos. Our class sizes are small, and pupils and subject teachers are well supported by a highly qualified team of specialist teachers.
Main Purpose of the Role
The Unicorn School is a Microsoft Showcase School with one-to-one devices for all pupils and staff. We currently have an on-site IT technician as well as a contract with Planet IT for additional support. From September 2025 the school is expanding to a second site and with that comes the need to grow the IT support team, hence this new role. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will be able to learn on the job with support from our IT technician and an appropriate course. The main tasks will be supporting, investigating, and resolving any IT related issue and making sure they are dealt with in a timely fashion.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
Qualifications
· GCSEs including Maths & English at grade 4 or above
Main duties
- Being the first point of contact for all incoming support tickets
- Communicate regularly to staff with open tickets
- Ensuring the ticket system is kept updated
- Being an available onsite resource 5 days a week, to be hands-on to resolve all IT problems
- Inform the IT technician of any tickets requiring escalations
- Maintain asset register and configurations
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required
