Our Breakfast, After School & Holiday Clubs give children the opportunity to develop through sports, activities & play, and we need great staff to make this possible.
As an Apprentice Sports Coach, you will be responsible for planning and assisting clubs as part of a team whilst supporting and engaging with all our children in a fun and enthusiastic manner!
These sessions vary depending on the programme, and can include PE sessions, multi sports sessions, or specific sports clubs such as football club or netball club!
As part of your apprenticeship you will study a Level 4 School Sports Coach qualification which will set you up for a future career in sports, coaching or schools. Alongside this we will fully support, advise and mentor all apprentices. We will also fully fund further qualifications to help you with your role, such as first aid courses, safeguarding children and more.
One of your main responsibilities will to be have fun with the children! Whether delivering sports, games, activities or play we need dedicated staff to engage with the kids and develop them during our clubs whilst ensuring a safe environment is maintained.
We offer full support, staff mentoring and training to guide you through your sessions and make them a success.
Responsibilities
- Assist in all activities during clubs both indoor and out depending on the schedule!
- Ensure safe registration and de registration of children at our clubs
- Build a positive relationship with all children who attend our clubs and parents who trust us with their children!
- Have awareness of any children with additional needs (whether physical, behaviour, dietary or learning)
- Develop a thorough understanding of our activities and deliver them accordingly to children each day, directing colleagues as appropriate
- Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant standards & our internal policies & procedures to safeguard and protect all
- Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day.
Requirements
- Be passionate and enthusiastic about working with children!
- Experience working with children is preferred
- No prior convictions or issues which will affect DBS checks
- Be 100% reliable
