We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprenticeship in our Commercial Grounds Maintenance Company. Sites would include industrial estates, office complex, football stadiums, retail and business parks.
Duties will include:
Grass cutting, shrub/hedge pruning, strimming of grass, edging lawns, shrub bed maintenance, leaf collection, sweeping kerb edges and other general grounds maintenance related tasks.
Position Responsibilities:
- Training will be provided to operate the following machinery - Lawn mowers, strimmers, hedgetrimmers and back pack blowers.
- General good housekeeping
- All PPE and uniform will be provided
- Well presented at all times to create a professional image for the company
- Have good time management
- To be friendly and able to work under instruction and within a team
- Relevant Apprenticeship standard and level - Level 2 Horticulture Operative ST0225
Candidate Requirements:
Motivated person, to have a positive attitude to working and learning
- The manual role will require the successful candidate to be physically fit in order to carry out works required and be able to work in all weather conditions
- Punctuality/time keeping are essential
- You would work as part of a minimum two man team under instruction
- Once the apprenticeship has been fulfilled there are opportunities within the company for the appropriate candidate to further their pathway.
- Working Hours Start time between 0530-0630 - Finish time 1430-1530 Working hours may vary depending on the area of work
- A positive attitude and a willingness to follow instruction and be a team player
