This is an exciting opportunity to gain an apprenticeship with a long standing and proven apprenticeship employer to develop electrical engineering skills through a structured Level 3 Apprenticeship programme. Some of the duties you will be involved in will include:
- Assist Engineers
- Expected to learn and take on responsibility for own work
- Electrical Control Panel work
- Electrical Site Installation work (with other Engineers)
- Have a positive and inquisitive attitude to work
- Work well with the team, but develop own skills
You will be diligent and punctual with a good work ethic. You must be able to work well with others and have a desire to better yourself and become a key member of our engineering team in time. You must be reliable and communicative.
You will have at least 5 GCSE's at grade C or above, to include English, Maths and Science as a minimum.
To have achieved, or be working toward, the following qualifications would be an advantage but not essential:
- NVQ Level 2 in Performing Engineering Operations
- BTEC level 3 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- EAL Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Some industry/engineering/technology related experience would also be beneficial but not essential, will consider each applicant on their own merits. This apprentice consists of both college-based and workplace qualifications requiring a great deal of commitment, so a desire to achieve the highest standards at college and on your NVQ work is essential.
Please note that some site work/travel with other engineers will be required however, the initial appointment will be workshop based until apprentice becomes more experienced.
Salary shown is the starting point for a first year apprentice. Salary will increase through the apprenticeship in line with performance and skills.
