Overview
We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with the ability to work effectively with both hand and power tools. This role involves constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, block, and other masonry materials. The successful applicant will demonstrate precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Duties

Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry units according to specifications and plans.
Mix mortar and other bonding agents as required for construction tasks.
Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively in the execution of masonry work.
Construct walls, arches, and other structures using various masonry techniques.
Repair and maintain existing brickwork, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
Collaborate with carpenters and roofers to ensure proper integration of masonry with other building elements.
Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience in bricklaying and masonry work is essential.
Proficiency in using power tools such as saws, drills, and mixers related to masonry tasks.
Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in the trade, including trowels, chisels, and levels.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings accurately.
Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as required.
A background in carpentry or roofing is advantageous but not mandatory.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
