We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual Trainee to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the butchery industry. As a Trainee, you will receive comprehensive training in various aspects of Meat operations, food preparation, and safety protocols. This role is perfect for those with a passion for Butchery and a desire to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and production of food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Support staff in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the workspace.
- Learn and adhere to food safety regulations and best practices throughout all stages of food handling.
- Participate in training sessions to develop skills related to techniques, equipment operation, and food safety measures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during peak service times.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
- Assist in the butchering process under the guidance of experienced staff, learning proper techniques and safety measures.
Requirements
- A keen interest in Butchery operations, culinary arts, or food production is essential.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices is preferred; training will be provided.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are crucial for maintaining quality standards.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks within the kitchen environment.

After a successful 3 month Probation period , you will be enrolled on a Level 2 Butchery Apprenticeship with Meat Ipswich , all training can be done in the work place .
You will need to be punctual , reliable and hard working to be put forward for the course
