About us: Safe Roots Housing is a small team dedicated to offering supported accommodation in Nottingham and surrounding areas. Overview: We are looking for an Apprentice Administrator to join our small team and act as a point of contact for our employees, residents and partner agencies.
This is a full-time position responsible for providing administrative support to all departments within Safe Roots Housing. Duties include but are not limited to, maintaining databases, developing reports, scheduling appointments, organising files, preparing presentations, and assisting with specialist projects.
To be successful in this role, you should have excellent organisation and communication skills, be detail oriented, along with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. This position requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Apprentice Administrator Duties
- Organise office operations and procedures
- Develop and implement administrative systems
- Maintain physical and digital employee records
- Provide general administrative support
- Manage and route phone calls appropriately
- Schedule in-house and external meetings
- Distribute incoming mail
- Manage and order office supplies
- Address employees’ and clients’ queries (via email, phone or in-person)
- Prepare presentations, spreadsheets and reports
- Update office policies as needed
- Handling of confidential information
Apprentice Administrator Skills
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Solid time-management abilities with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Some experience with MS Office Suite (particularly MS Word and MS Excel)
- Familiarity with office/IT equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Great attitude to learn and develop
Qualifications
- GCSE maths and English or equivalent qualification
- This role does require the individual to enrol and commit to an 18-month Apprenticeship programme, where they will gain a nationally recognised qualification in Level 3 Business Administration, with the opportunity to grow and develop their skills within the organisation.
