Turn business data into insight—kick-start your career as Homemove’s Business Analyst Apprentice (Level 4)
Buying a home generates thousands of data points—mortgage milestones, survey findings, conveyancing timelines. Join us at ground level and learn how to turn that raw data into dashboards and decisions that fuel our next-gen PropTech platform. You’ll spend 18 months on the government-approved Level 4 Business Analyst apprenticeship (funding band £18 000 Institute for Apprenticeships), blending weekly on-the-job projects with structured study that leads to BCS membership and a recognised qualification.
Why this apprenticeship is different
- Full BI build-out. Help spec and launch our company-wide data warehouse and Power BI dashboards.
- Code from day one. We’ll train you in to use AI to allow you to leverage SQL, Python and LookML so you can query, shape and visualise data yourself.
- Real product impact. Your analysis will feed directly into sprint backlogs; expect to see your insights live within weeks.
- Mentor network. Pair with senior Data Analysts, product managers and our CTO; get both tech and domain coaching.
What you’ll be doing
- Collect and cleanse data from CRM, finance, marketing and product databases.
- Map “as-is” vs “to-be” processes—spotting bottlenecks and proposing fixes.
- Draft user stories and acceptance criteria that turn insights into dev tickets.
- Build prototype dashboards in Power BI / Looker to track KPIs like completion time and NPS.
- Present findings to non-technical stakeholders—turn numbers into simple narratives.
- Spend 20 % of your time off-the-job on formal training, workshops and self-study toward EPA.
You’ll thrive here if you…
- Hold A-levels (or Level 3 equivalent) with a tilt toward maths, IT or business—and a hungry, problem-solving mindset.
- Use spreadsheets today but want to graduate to SQL queries tomorrow.
- Communicate clearly—whether white-boarding a process or explaining a chart to sales teams.
- Can juggle multiple tasks, ask great questions and chase down the “why” behind every number.
- Are happy in a high-growth, “build-it-as-we-fly” environment; pace excites you more than it scares you.
