Business Administration Apprentice - 12 months
Apprenticeship Rate/Salary will vary depending on age.
Hours of work - 37 hours per week Monday to Friday.
A great opportunity has arisen for you to join our Council and to make a positive change to your chosen career pathway. The Planning Services department are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Blaby District Council Planning Team as a Business Administration Apprentice.

- Confident using Microsoft products such as Outlook, Excel, and Word

The Business Administration Apprentice will have an important role in providing administrative support to the wider Planning Service.
The main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Dealing with customer enquiries by email, on the telephone and face to face in a friendly and efficient way
- Distribution of incoming post and dispatch of outgoing post
- Scanning and redacting of documents to our document management system
- Updating our computer databases
- Providing administrative support to the Development Services Team in relation to Planning Committee and planning appeals.
- Providing administrative support to the Development Services, Planning Enforcement, Strategic Growth and Development Strategy Teams.
- Keeping our website up to date

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, and motivated and must work well in a team, be organised and able to prioritise. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential to provide high levels of customer service We also require you to have at least 4 GCSEs grades A* to C and/or at grade 4 and above (or equivalent qualification) including English.
