About the Role:
We are a growing MSP looking to hire an enthusiastic and motivated ICT Technician Level 3 apprentice.
This apprenticeship will provide you with the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality IT support, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and maintain IT systems across our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers through various communication channels (face-to-face, phone, email).
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, using approved troubleshooting techniques and tools.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and network infrastructure.
- Assist with monitoring network performance and carry out routine maintenance tasks.
- Apply security policies and practices to protect IT systems and data.
- Support cloud services and telecommunications systems as part of the IT environment.
- Document technical issues and solutions clearly and accurately.
- Prioritise and manage support tasks according to service level agreements and business needs.
- Work closely with team members and escalate complex issues when needed.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging IT trends and technologies relevant to your role.
Skills and Knowledge to be Gained:
- Fault diagnosis and rectification using industry-standard tools and techniques.
- Network monitoring, cloud computing basics, and IT security principles.
- Technical documentation and problem-solving methodologies.
- Use of scripting for automation and task execution.
- Understanding of DevOps methodologies and practices.
Duration:
The course is 13 months but continuing employment and training will be offered for the right candidate.
Training:
- Combination of online, classroom, and on-the-job training.
- Regular mentoring and progress assessments.
- End-point assessment to gain Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification.
