As an Accounts Apprentice at Cromwell Polythene Ltd, you will play a vital role in supporting the finance team with various accounting tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the company's financial activities. This apprentice role is designed to provide you with a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices while allowing you to gain hands-on experience within the finance department.
This is a great opportunity to kickstart your career in finance, whilst working towards a recognised accounting qualification (AAT or CIMA).
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support daily banking, cash flow monitoring and reconciliation.
- Assisting with credit control and routine cash collection.
- Respond to finance queries from sales.
- Updating and maintaining the accounting system to ensure accurate financial data.
- Assisting with month-end closing procedures.
- Engaging in bookkeeping activities and record-keeping.
- Any other finance-related duties as assigned by the finance team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Excellent GCSE results in Maths and English (Grade 6 or above)
Cromwell Polythene offers a Cromwell Curriculum that ensures new starters gain internal qualifications through modular learning. This role will also involve a formal training programme to develop your accounting skills.
Requirements
Good verbal and written communication skills.
IT literate, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel experience is essential).

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
