ROLE PURPOSE: The role covers the following key elements:
- Responsibility for parts of sales and payment processes
- Providing financial support to key stakeholders within the organisation
- Ensuring accurate/complete information within the finance system
PartsPak is a growing supplier of aftermarket parts and machinery to the food industry. Trading since 2014, it has 24 employees. It sells to customers in both in the UK and throughout Europe, and in 2025 revenue is expected to hit £5m.
As a result of this growth, PartsPak requires a Financial Trainee to support its operating activities. The role will provide on the job finance training to complement AAT Level 3 studies. Key Responsibilities
- Accounts payable, including entering purchase invoices onto the accounting system
- Raising sales invoices and sending to customers
- Credit checks for new customer accounts
- Credit control, including issuing payment reminders to customers and escalating non-payment of invoices where necessary
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Monthly credit card reconciliations
- Entering employee expense claims onto the accounting system
- Posting journals for accruals and prepayments
- Ensure compliance with financial controls and processes
- Any other finance tasks as determined by the UK General Manager or Group Finance Manager
Person Specification
Essential
- GCSE Maths/English at grade 6 or above
- Accuracy and an attention to detail
- Computer literacy, including a basic understanding of excel
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Can-do attitude and positive approach
Other
- Apprenticeship to start at AAT Level 3, commencing October 2025
- Will then commence to AAT Level 4 upon satisfactory completion of Level 3
- Full study support to fund all AAT registration/exam fees
