Apprentice Bookkeeper/ Accounts Assistant
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a trainee bookkeeper/ account assistant to join our growing accountancy practice based in Abbots Leigh, Bristol. The team has over 50 years’ experience within practice, providing a full suite of accounting and business management support to an array of clients.
We are currently looking for a talented individual with a passion for numbers to join our bookkeeping department as a trainee, with the goal of becoming a fully proficient bookkeeper and management accountant.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their carer in practice.
Responsibilities
- · General bookkeeping duties - predominately using Xero, DEXT and Excel
- Balancing accounts
- Processing invoices
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT Returns

Qualifications
- · GCSEs in Maths and English to a minimum of grade 4 – or equivalent.
- Strong organisational skills with a problem-solving attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Previous work experience as a bookkeeper/ accounts assistance would be a bonus for this position, but not essential as full training and support will be provided.
The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, with flexible working arrangements. Free on-site parking.

PROGRESSION
Upon successful completion of the Level 2 Accounts Administration Apprenticeship you will have gained a national qualification, recognised throughout the industry and this may, where available, lead to a full time permanent position within the company.
Job Type: Apprenticeship
Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
