About the Role:
Our client delivers Managed IT Services, Cloud & Cybersecurity Projects, Technical Resources as a Service (TRaaS), Technical Customer Support, AI Enablement, and Software Licensing solutions to a wide range of fast-growing businesses across the UK, South Africa, and beyond.
They are currently looking for a driven and energetic Sales Apprentice who’s ready to kick-start their career in sales and business development, helping to grow their client base while learning the art and science of selling cutting-edge IT and AI services.
This is a hands-on apprenticeship where you’ll learn how to prospect, engage, and support new and existing clients. You’ll work closely with the sales and leadership team, gaining exposure to real sales cycles, marketing campaigns, and client pitches. They’re a small, agile team, so you’ll need to be a self-starter who thrives with responsibility and can make an impact quickly.
Your Responsibilities:
· Research and identify potential new clients across target industries and find your own routes to market (including digital outreach, events, and referrals).
· Conduct cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to engage prospects directly.
· Build and maintain a network of industry contacts to uncover new opportunities.
· Be persistent with follow-ups — ensuring no lead goes cold without multiple attempts.
· Maintain accurate and detailed lead information, call notes, and opportunity status in the CRM.
· Support the sales team with presentations, proposals, and client pitches.
· Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, events, and promotions.
· Gain product knowledge across all company services to confidently present value to prospects.
· Contribute new ideas for sales approaches and market penetration.
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
· Ambitious and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in sales and business development.
· A self-starter who is proactive, organised, and motivated to hit targets.
· Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and digital.
· Confident using tools like LinkedIn, email, and MS Office (training provided on CRM and sales platforms).
· Resilient and adaptable — comfortable with rejection and persistent in following up leads.
· A vibrant, fun, and positive personality — someone who brings energy to the team.
