Apprentice Heating Engineer (Renewable Technologies)

Redbridge & Sons Property Services are currently recruiting a Apprentice Renewable Heating Engineer to join our further expanding workforce and be part of the company’s future development.
Redbridge & Sons Property services are a leading Heating, Electrical and Renewable Technologies company based in Gloucester and providing a wide range of Sustainable Energy Solutions for the drive to Net Zero for businesses and homeowners alike. This is an exciting and varied role with opportunities to work with the latest renewable and smart home energy technologies along with traditional heating systems in the retrofit market. It’s also an opportunity for the successful candidate to progress their career with a dedicated training and development plan, to include all the latest technologies.
Requirements:
- You will be expected to work on various private domestic customers and small commercial sites supporting the lead engineers.
- Complete installations of Air Source Heat pumps to provided designs. (Monoblock + Split systems – Fgas training to be confirmed.)
- Complete installations of Zero Emissions Boilers.
- Complete Installations of Sunamp hot water products.
- Commissioning installations to manufactures specifications.
- Fault finding and general repairs of heating systems, eg immersion heater changes.
- Installation of radiators and connecting to UFH systems.
- Some minor plumbing works where required.
- Working with the customers on ensuring their requirements are met, keeping a clean, tidy and Safe site / work area.
- Communicating with the lead engineer & the project manager to ensure all installations/jobs are completed on time and to the required quality levels.
- Plumbing cylinders and supporting the lead engineer with cylinder changes.
- The ability to work on your own but also willing to help other team members when required.
- Experience with health and safety processes and procedures.
- Good eye for detail and quality
- Be willing to travel – mainly Gloucestershire, Bristol and surrounding areas.
- Product training will also be provided for the successful applicant on specialist products.

Qualifications:
- GCSE’s in Maths & English level 4 or above
- Full clean Driving License.
Working Week: 40 Hours per week. (Full time position)
Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm with 1/2 hour for lunch. Overtime available.
