Our fire door Sales Estimator Apprentice will be part of a young, fast-paced sales & production team who take great pride in the high quality of their work and excellent reputation of our fire doors.
Training to be provided:
Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15-month apprenticeship which includes 12 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6-8 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.
About the role:
The the Sales Estimator Apprentice will assist our Sales & Estimating Team and learn all aspects of the sales, estimating and manufacturing processes:
- Creating doorset quotations and drawings using our in-house production system
- Learning technical knowledge of fire door, ironmongery and construction components
- Learning sales techniques; how to negotiate and create best opportunity to obtain order commitment
- Supporting sales & estimating with general administration duties
The Apprentice will learn about all aspects of door manufacture from enquiry through to invoice.

Essential Skills:
It is essential that the Sales Estimator Apprentice has the following skills and personal qualities:
- GCSEs in maths and English with at least a grade C/4
- Attention to detail
- The company uses AutoCAD and MS Excel templates, which require accurate data input and an acute attention to detail, so possession of good MS Office knowledge is essential
- Good communication skills and confident telephone manner
- Excellent timekeeping
- Eager to learn
- Organised and articulate
- Well presented
