Customer Service / Business Admin Role The role of the business admin is to promote the smooth running of day-to-day business activities. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills and organisational skills so that they can work effectively with external customers as well as internal team members. They will also deal with customer requests, such as custom orders and quotes, as well as problem-solving and problem management within a customer service function.
The candidate will be working alongside the Managing Director to learn about the different products so that they are fully aware of all the products and can give correct advice to customers. The candidate will follow a set protocol when dealing with returns/warranty issues and must be fully aware of the Consumer Rights Act. On a day-to-day basis, the candidate will respond to customer emails regarding returns, warranty issues, and specific product questions. Once the candidate is fully aware of the operation of the business, they will be responsible for processing orders and ensuring that orders are dispatched correctly. The candidate will be expected to assist with order checking.
The candidate will also be responsible for stock keeping and will need to ensure that all new stock is booked in correctly.
The candidate should also be able to bring new ideas to improve operations of the business.
Summary
As an Apprentice Business Administrator, you will support the administrative functions of the organisation while developing essential skills in a professional setting. Reporting to the Operations Director, your role will involve utilising core skills such as computer proficiency, organisational abilities, and effective phone etiquette to assist with daily operations. Your premium experience in office environments and relevant skills in Microsoft Office, our CRM and inventory management system will be vital in enhancing productivity. Qualifications
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Administrative experience with a focus on data entry and clerical tasks
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Well-developed organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Familiarity with general office experience is a plus
- Typing proficiency to ensure efficient documentation and correspondence
