We are currently looking for a Level 2 (CCLD) qualified, enthusiastic, energetic, and motivated candidate to join the Little Angels team to study an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare & Development whilst working and earning within our Cardiff settings. You will ideally have your own transport as you will be expected to travel between our 9 sites when required.
As a Flying Start setting you will be given the most up-to-date training. You will learn, through first-hand experiences, the core factors of child development in addition to a broad and varied spectrum of mandatory training to include First Aid, Child Protection, Behaviour Management, and an extensive programme of courses in line with professional development to include, wellbeing, yoga, Makaton, team building and many more.
You will need to be committed, flexible,* and most importantly, passionate* about childcare.
The successful candidate will:
- Work 32.5 hours a week Monday to Friday term time.
- Be passionate about working with children.
- Work closely alongside their colleagues, supporting and encouraging each other.
- Be imaginative, creative, and not afraid to dress up, be covered in paint or gloop, and most importantly have fun.
- Be signed with ACT to complete a level 3 in Childcare & Development.
- Be willing to travel between sites.

Job Duties Summary:
- Be a positive role model for all children, encouraging individual children through praise and scaffolding.
- Delivering the topics and program of learning, ensuring differentiation for individual children.
- Observe and record the children’s progress using company documentation.
- Complete daily records of activities and routines for all children and report progress to parents/carers.
- Develop good communications with parents/carers, ensuring that they are greeted on arrival and departure.
- Attend all stay & play sessions.
- Monitor the health and wellbeing of children.
- Where appropriate, participate as a key worker and be responsible for a specific group of children or child during the settling-in sessions.
- Assist in creating a stimulating and attractive environment for the children.
- Always maintain confidentiality.
- Oversee maintenance of equipment and toys and report any problems to the Deputy Setting Leader.
- Ensure all letters and information are passed on to the parents/carers daily.
