Job
As Senior Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading regional growth across the East Midlands. You’ll manage key accounts, coach junior team members, and drive new employer partnerships to achieve ambitious apprenticeship start targets.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Leading business development strategy and pipeline management for the East Midlands.
- Building long-term relationships with key employer partners.
- Identifying new business opportunities and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Coaching and mentoring junior business development staff.
- Collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-quality, compliant training solutions.
- Consistently achieving or exceeding apprenticeship start and revenue goals.
Ideal Candidate
To excel in this role, you will have:
- Extensive experience in Apprenticeship Sales, Employer Engagement, or Education Business Development.
- A proven track record of exceeding apprenticeship start and commercial sales targets.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Strategic commercial awareness and analytical thinking.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Knowledge of ESFA funding, apprenticeship frameworks, and sector standards.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to influence at senior levels.
