Overview
Buildakit (UK) Ltd is excited to announce an opening for an Apprentice to join our team. As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop skills in various areas of our production operations. This position offers hands-on training and growth potential within our organization. You will be enrolled with NLTR (North Lancs Training Group). A tutor will visit periodically to assess progress and set new tasks. All work will be done at our premises and you will not attend a college. Duties
- Assist in the manufacturing of timber frame house kits involving heavy lifting activities
- Fabricate and assemble components under the guidance of experienced professionals
- Learn to operate hand tools effectively and safely
- Learn to read drawings using our on bench IPads
- Support team members in various production tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Enthusiasm to learn and develop skills in a manufacturing environment
- Keen interest in working with wood
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team
- Willingness to engage in physical tasks that involve heavy lifting
- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices
