Role Overview
We are seeking motivated Year 3 & 4 NVQ Electrical Apprentices who are ready to take the next step in their careers. This role is designed for apprentices who want to fast-track their development, build technical confidence, and progress toward full qualification (NVQ Level 3, AM2, and 18th Edition).
You will work closely with our skilled Electrical Testers, Supervisors and Contract Managers, gaining real-world experience across EICRs, remedials, installs, and compliance works within the social housing sector.
Key Responsibilities Practical Electrical Work
- Shadow and support qualified electricians on EICRs, remedials, and installation works
- Assist with testing, inspecting, and fault-finding tasks
- Carry out basic electrical tasks under supervision, gradually taking on more responsibility
- Help prepare and maintain accurate job records and certification documentation
- Support with material handling, van stock, and site readiness
Learning, Upskilling & Fast-Track Development
- Work through NVQ Level 3 portfolio tasks with structured support
- Be placed on specific project-based work that aligns with required NVQ evidence (containment, first fix, second fix, testing support, etc.)
- Receive guidance from Senior Engineers to complete photos, written evidence, observations, and assessments
- Participate in fast-track development sessions through the Wiggett Academy
- Attend toolbox talks, safety briefings, and technical workshops
- Build competence toward AM2 assessment and full qualification
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all health and safety procedures on-site
- Adhere to electrical compliance requirements and best practice
- Take part in regular quality checks and audits to support progression
What We’re Looking For
- Currently in Year 3 or Year 4 of NVQ Electrical Installation
- Strong attitude, reliability, and desire to learn
- Keen to develop into a fully qualified electrician quickly through structured support
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Previous on-site experience in domestic or social housing environments (preferred but not essential)

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,500.00 per year
