Internal Quality Assurance Officer - Engineering Apprenticeship Framework
Working under our Quality and Curriculum Manager the Internal Quality Assurance Officer will manage a stream of operational learning initiatives within our core business, which fits in with our broader business strategy. Not only does the role require the individual to support in looking after the awarding body programmes as delivered within our core remit, but the opportunity to dedicate time and effort to ensure delivery quality is at peak performance amongst staff.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing programmes and Internal Quality Assurance. They will be self-motivated and highly organised. They will also be able to contribute new ideas to ensure the company's growth.
Main Responsibilities Include:
- Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) in line with In-Comm’s IQA Strategy.
- Work with awarding bodies to ensure we have continual accreditations across core business programmes as needed.
- Conduct sector meetings against a set agenda that will be part of In-Comm’s Operational Management System.
- Review service delivery and be involved in advancing our current systems and procedures.
- Actively seek new opportunities to grow and advance the sector in terms of product design & new markets.
- Actively review products and materials used within delivery to ensure standardisation and Validity, Authenticity and how Current the materials being used are.
- Work closely with relevant departments to ensure that all academy programmes are delivered and developed to ensure that we aim to achieve world-class apprentices.
- Ensure that all Internal Quality Assurance activities are undertaken promptly to ensure the processing of qualifications and learners through to End Point Assessment.
- Work with the academy manager to ensure that observations and data analysis highlight achievements and issues affecting the learners’ achievement and/or progression within the academies.
- Review and recommend training & development for staff members.
- Working with the Excellence Manager to ensure that all processes and policies are written and improved, thus supporting better management reporting, information flow and management of business processes & planning.
Competence & Knowledge Qualifications
- Assessing Award - To hold a current A1 Assessing Award or Equivalent
- IQA - To hold a current V1 Internal Quality Assurance Award or Equivalent
- Management - To hold a Level 3 qualification within the field of Management
- Teaching Qualification - To hold the Certificate to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector qualification
- Service Improvement - To hold a qualification in Service Improvement or Business Improvement Techniques
- Technical or Industrial Competence - The individual must be technically or industrially competent within the field of L3 engineering or higher.
- Information Technology - To be confident in using IT systems and processes
- Skills for Life - To hold a qualification within Maths and English at Level 2 as a minimum

Remuneration
- Salary Band Dependent upon experience
- Working Hours Full Time Monday to Friday 08.30-16.30 Hours M-T and 08.30-14.30 Hours F.
- Pension 3% Employee Contribution & 7% Employer Contribution
- Life Insurance Non-Contributory 3 x Salary
- Holidays 25 Days plus Bank Holidays and up to an extra week for long service awards
