Job Summary:
As a Logistic Apprentice, you will support the successful delivery of projects while developing your project management skills through structured training and on-the-job experience. You will assist in planning, resourcing, scheduling, and monitoring project activities to ensure objectives and benefits are achieved.
An exciting and new opportunity to join the Euston Station Logistics team as an Apprentice Assistant Project Management Technician Apprenticeship – Level 4.
The apprentice will follow a work-based, industry specific, 18 months, formal learning, whilst gaining valuable knowledge and experience, with support from a dedicated mentor.
This qualification will allow the individual to demonstrate their training for progression in the industry. The learner will gain an understanding and proficiency in all elements of Project Management. The role is aimed at both new entrants to the industry and those seeking to progress their knowledge and experience from within the construction industry.
The apprentice will be supported by MDJV to dedicate a minimum of 20% of your contracted hours per week to studies.
The Apprentice will provide support and promote awareness and adoption of best practice by the Project Team and Subcontractors, assist in the development and implementation of the MDJV System and report on the performance of the Project.
Key Responsibilities:

To support and report to the Project Manager and/or Senior Project Manager in all the elements related to the construction, programme of works and commercial issues of the works.

To support the co-ordination between the Logistics, construction, design, procurement, and commercial departments to ensure the sub-contracts are awarded and work started in accordance with the schedule of works.

To support the client requirements regarding the functionality and standards are met, ensuring that all quality, assurance, and compliance documentation is provided in a timely manner.

To support deliverer of the works in accordance with client standards and in accordance with Subcontractor Management Handbook.

To support monitoring the works to achieve right first-time workmanship and undertake lessons learnt reviews to promote continuous improvement, while maintaining daily records.

To support ensuring performance management process is completed and appropriate training is planned and delivered.

To attend and record relevant meetings, providing relevant parties with contextual information and analysis, including safety briefings and regular site walks.

To partner with relevant stakeholders to support risk management and mitigation treatments.

To support updating and managing existing project plans, processes, and procedures to contribute to the successful delivery of projects under direction.

To ensure supervisors and subcontractors are familiar with the plan for the day/ week and are allocating resources appropriately.

To promote robust implementation of the project safety protocol and help the construction manager with safety briefings and checks at each workface.
Qualifications, Certifications and Experience:

GCSE in Maths and English, grade 5-9.

2 A levels at grade C or above
