Want to kick off your career and power the roads of tomorrow? Join our four-year Electrical Engineering degree apprenticeship at National Highways and help deliver the technology that keeps the country moving – from lighting and traffic signals to innovative solutions that will drive a sustainable digital future on our roads.
Mentored by experienced engineers, you’ll develop skills in electrical systems design, maintenance and sustainability, applying your knowledge both in the office and on site.
You’ll complete a Level 6 degree apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering, your first step towards Incorporated Engineer status (IEng) with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). It’s the perfect way to graduate debt-free, gain real experience, and set yourself up for a career that shapes the future.

Assessment Centres will run in May - June 2026, and you’ll hear back soon after about whether you’ve secured a place.
All offers to the programme are subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks, including Right to Work, reference, and DBS criminal record checks.
