Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and diligent Carpenter Apprentice/labourer to join our construction team. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction, providing a valuable foundation for a career in the building trades. The successful candidate will assist two skilled carpenters in fabricating, assembling, and installing structures, gaining practical knowledge of tools and techniques used in the industry. Responsibilities
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of timber frameworks, fixtures, and fittings using hand tools and power tools.
- Support the installation of roofing, joinery, and other carpentry components on-site.
- Learn to operate various power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
- Aid in the measurement, cutting, and fitting of materials to specifications.
- Participate in construction painting, masonry work, plumbing tasks, and electrical installations as part of broader project support.
- Assist with heavy lifting and material handling to ensure efficient workflow on site.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within set deadlines.
Requirements
- Genuine interest in carpentry, construction, or related trades.
- Basic understanding of fabrication, assembly, and use of hand tools.
- Familiarity with power tools and safety procedures is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work well within a team environment.
- Prior experience or knowledge in roofing, joinery, plumbing, masonry or electrical work is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: £10.00-£15.00 per hour
