This is a key Apprentice Engineering role within a small lean maintenance team supporting the maintenance of busy manufacturing processes including general maintenance and asset care programmes.
You will demonstrate continuous learning and development with the following at the core of your apprenticeship role.

Develop a clear understanding of Health & Safety in a workplace environment. This will include the care and use of PPE.

Learn how to undertake planned & preventative maintenance on complexed manufacturing plant and processes.

Learn how to understand proven maintenance techniques.

Learn how to diagnose faults and fix breakdowns.

Work alongside other engineering professionals and learn how to demonstrate teamwork, autonomy and ownership in your role.

Learning how to read technical drawings and follow clear maintenance instructions. Reading and understanding manuals and detailed machine schematics and drawings.

Learn how to undertake Planned and Preventative works programmes safely and efficiently.

Learn how to use tools and specialised equipment safely.

Learn how to undertake basic Welding & Fabrication techniques safely and efficiently.

Learn how to undertake basic machine shop skills , Milling, Turning, Drilling & Surface Grinding.

Complete your Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship.

Attend college/training sessions with other learners.

Build skills in mechanical, electrical, or multi skilled maintenance.

Gain recognised engineering qualifications withing the apprenticeship programme time scale.

Be guided by supportive mentors who will help you grow your confidence and capabilities.
You don’t need previous engineering experience, just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

You must hold basic qualifications in Maths, English and a preferred science.

Good Oral & Written skills.

You must have a genuine interest and passion in progressing a engineering career.
